ABSTRACT
On September 6, 2019, the Taiwan-Korea Young Stroke Investigator Joint Symposium was held at
the Seoul National University Hospital. A total of 8 young investigators from both countries shared the
latest results of their own stroke research. During the half-day symposium, speakers, senior moderators,
as well as the audience had an in-depth discussion for all the topics of stroke medicine presented. Future
collaborations between two countries have also been discussed. We believed that such a joint symposium
was a good start to understand each other and might improve the quality of stroke care and research in both
Taiwan and Korea. And of course, it will be held again in 2020 and annually thereafter.

Keywords: Taiwan, Korea, young, research, stroke.
