Good Evening.
As you know, during this critical situation of Covid-19 we the SWTP-
02 staffs are continuing our regular duty as emergency service. We
are not only responsible for operation & maintenance of SWTP-02
conventional plant but also responsible for operation & maintenance
of METEOR, Sarulia Raw Water Pumping Station (SRWPS) & DND
aerators.
As SWTP-02 staffs don’t have residence facility, some of the staffs
are living adjacent to the plant & rest of the staffs had been used
public transport. To comply the smooth-running of SWTP-02
including desired production & quality we have to move frequently to
Sarulia Raw water Pumping Station (SRWPS) & DND aeration zone.
The armed forces have been working to ensure social distancing by
the people in the divisional and district towns, coastal areas and to
transport emergency goods in aid of the civil administration since Mar
24.
We have only an allocated CNG vehicle for the transport service to
SRWPS & DND, no other dedicated vehicles for SWTP-02. Several
times the armed forces have blocked our CNG even after providing
our identity & cause of moving as CNG vehicle is congested & could
not maintain social distance.
It would be difficult to run Sarulia Raw Water Pumps & DND
aerators smoothly if we could not maintain schedule inspection &
maintenance regularly which could impact negatively on our desired
production & quality. The staffs who had been used public transport
are also facing difficulties to attend office on time.
As we are committed to produce required quantity of drinking water
with desired quality. We would like to appeal for an official vehicle &
few motor cycle for SWTP-02 staffs which would enhance the
productivity of our work. Please consider this issue & we will look
forward for your kind approval.
