The Boulevard Voltaire belongs to the main roads created by the baron Haussmann

under Napoleon III. Initially named boulevard of the Prince-Eugene, before taking the
name of boulevard Voltaire according to the famous philosopher and writer François
Marie Arouet, said Voltaire, it connects two places which belong to the history of the
French left, the Place of the Republic and the Place of the Nation. Very quickly the
Voltaire boulevard became a way which borrow of many processions of left-wing political
parties, trade unions or protest movements.
The Bataclan is a theater of a capacity of: 1498 places in concert, located upright 50
