See text for tabulation of exteria, SCOPE 1.1 This procedure describes the minimum requirements for hydrostatic testing of ALL. valves built to ANSI standards, and having specific pressure boundary requirements, PURPOSE 2.1 To meer the minimum requirements for testing necessary to assure compliance with the industry's and Masoneilan's standards of quality. REFERENCED DOCUMENTS 3.1 This procedure complies with the following standards: 3.1.1 ASMEVANSIB16.34, Valves Flanged and Butt-Weld Ends [latest issue/revision] 3.1.2 ASMEYANST B16, Pipe Flanges and Flanged Fittings (latest issue/tevision} 3.13. Gauges shall be chosen so that test pressure is between 20% and 80% of seale range. . Digital gauges can be used for their full range, ‘Test Medium: Water at a maximum temperature of 52°C (125°F), or any suitable liquid with a viscosity rating equal to or less than water may be used, is allowed. 5.2.1.1 Vessels to be tested shall be thoroughly cleaned and free from foreign materials. Condition . 522.1 Allmachining must be finished prior to test. 5.2.2.2 Vessels to be tested must be unpaiited, 5222.1 Vessels may be disassembled after testing for painting of components. However, retest after reassembling, to verify joint integrity, is required per Section 5.2.2.3.3. 5.2.23 All pressure-boundary components of vessels to be tested must be fully assembled together, 5223.1 Exception dual part testing is acceptable: TE @) Test sinmlates all loads that would be ‘Present if the part were tested in a fully- assembled pressure vessel AND () Individual part testing has been agreed ‘upon by the purchaser, AND (©) All other requirements of this specification are met, including those of Section 5.2.2.3.3 $2232 : Packing leakage is not a failure criterion for this test. ‘Therefore, packing may be omitted from the assembly during ‘hydrostatic testing. However, in lieu of packing, a suitable device must be used to transmit the force generated by the ‘hydrostatic test pressure to the packing flange and studs, Observe Section 5.2.2.3.3 requirements Copyright 1999 as an unpublished wade aso, This ocumeat and all laformaion rans he ‘CES 1001 REV.C propery of Valve Division of Dresser Equipmet Group Ine. However, they must be retested after final assembly to the maximum design pressure (for the weaker
