To the FEU Community,

Institutions all over the world are being tested by the advent of the COVID-19
pandemic, actions are limited due to the government’s measures in consideration for
public safety – hence the enhanced community quarantine. However, our beloved
institution, the Far Eastern University believes that the safety of its constituents – the
students, faculties and other working employees – health and safety must be prioritized.
The university considers all aspect of health correlated to the overall well-being of its
beloved constituents to be put first in these trying times, holding the core value of
uprightness. This is done to accommodate the needs of the constituents especially for
those having problems with their learning journey.
With the uncertainty of the crisis, the Far Eastern University shall:
- Cancel all online activities and pause all the pending assignments. These
activities will continue when the classes officially resumed.
- If the end of ECQ will be announced at the end of May, extension and adjustment
of the academic calendar will be considered. The continuation of second
semester classes will push through to months of June and July.
- If the ECQ will be extended for longer time (until November 2020). The university
will end the second semester and will start the new academic school year at
January of 2021. Tuition and miscellaneous fees will be refunded (35%) for the
ended semester and will be credited to the accounts.
The pandemic will serve as a reminder that the FEU community will continue to struggle
and help each other adjust in these trying times upholding the core value of fortitude.
After this crisis, the university will make sure to be much more supportive with the
student’s educational needs by providing them quality education in order to provide
excellent graduates that will prevent future crisis like this or at least help prepare the
nation for the next one.
