How Far I’ll Go

In the beginning I was nervous to start this course because I never been comfortable with

my writing, so I always kept myself from trying on my writing. When I got into this course, I

enjoyed the environment it was different from what I was used to. How the professor did the

lectures and the way the assignment where I guess I needed it in my life. What was difficult

about this course well I don’t think anything was hard to do. The professor designed the class

easy like the notes where easy to take, well explained each assignment, group discussions

activities, and the list goes on. I guess I can say that doing the eportfolio was something not easy

doing just because I was new on doing that portfolio. I learned so much from this class like how

to write properly, how to use the transitions properly and fix my grammar, to learn from my

mistakes and fix them right away.

Later I was writing and learning about the writing process which is something that I

didn’t used before on my writing. Before I used to just write and write without taking a moment

to think through what I was going to write or how I was going to write. Now I think about the

topic and start brainstorming or planning each of the body paragraphs, thesis and conclusion. I

later revise what I wrote, and I ask for help too so I can hear about what changes does my essay

needs so I can edit the paper and get it done. Helping my classmates and them helping me it

something that I grateful for because not only they tell you what changes your paper need, but

also, they help you come out with different ways to rewrite whatever you need help with. A

specific example of this can be on my writing process page or my final reflection page. On this
page you will find my writing assignments along with some essays and my reflection on my final

reflection.

After I learned the basics of writing an essay, we moved on to write academic essays and

it was kind of hard to find a topic to write about or find resources to back up your answers. I

guess the fact that I tried hard to understand better an academic essay and try to perfectionate it

was something I was successful at.

Then learning that I had audience on my essays was something easy to do just because it

helps to write an essay to persuade them to understand your perspective on a topic they are

related or not related to them. Plus, you must think what they are going to say about it later and it

was stressing but it help you out by writing a great essay.

Finally, I feel like I got my confidence back on my writing and to use what I learned on

my next essays or assignments. Of course, I will continue working on perfectionate my writing

skills to get better on where I need help and successfully be a good writer.
