teachers and my fellow friends. Today, I am going to tell you a story entitled ”The Miser‘.
Once upon a time, there was a miser who had lot of
gold. The miser saved it himself. ”Shh…I will keep my gold in a very safe place.‘ So, he buried the gold in a garden. Everyday, the miser will dig out the treasure and count to make sure it was there. ”One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten…Hahaha… I am so rich. I have so much gold.‘
A thief had heen watching him for so long. And one
night, the thief stole all the golds. The next day, the miser went to count his gold. (La...la…la…la…la……Huh….) He was shocked when he found nothing but an empty hole. ”My gold! O my gold! Where’s my gold! Where’s my gold! Someone has robbed me!‘ cried the miser.
”Why did you put it there? Why did you not keep it in the house where you could get it easily when you had to buy things?‘ asked the stranger who heard he cried.
”Buy? I was never think of spending any of my gold,‘
screamed the miser angrily. The stranger picked up a large stone and threw it into the hole. ”If that is the case, save the stone. It is as worthless as the gold you have lost!‘ he said. Finally, the miser realized that he is foolish of not making use of his gold. My dear friends, remember a possession is worth no more than the use we make of it. Thank you.
