Pidgin Presentation Reflection

1. Identify and explain 2 things that you learned about another ethnic group’s
contribution to Pidgin and/or the local culture.

I learned that the Japanese Pidgin English was created on the Hawaiian
Plantation and that the language was extinct. I also didn’t know that the
Hawaiians take and continue the legacy of the Japanese Pidgin English. And I also
learned that the U.S. army actually use the Japanese Pidgin English, they used the
language after WWII.

2. Explain how certain ethnic foods influenced the local food we have in Hawai‘i today.
