Lab Report Requirements

It is mandatory that for each test, you need to:

1. Present all raw data.
2. Show all calculations and graphs.
3. Provide a discussion on the acceptability of the results (that is , results are
reasonable or not) and the reasons why you accept/not accept them.
4. Provide a discussion on the possible sources of error.
5. Answer the question as specified below:

Specific Gravity
What is the use of this parameter?
How is the result affected by using tap water which is also not de-aired?

Particle Size Analysis

Why is it important to know the particle size distribution of soils?
