Gauthaman – PGPBL0xxx

He started off his discussion stating why we make a really good mold for future leaders. As
neither a student nor a full-blown potential, we exhibit the unique quality of having seen
the world, but not yet hardened by it. We are capable of creating a new ecosystem around
us, modifying the existing fabric woven around the society. This gives us a unique
advantage, as business leaders, to move forward with the wisdom from our past
experiences and the freshness of our future, and bring the world forward with us.

He spoke about the qualities that a leader should possess – promoting harmony, courage of
conviction, making hard decisions, integrity and trust. The degree with which a person
carries these qualities is what makes every leader unique. We should take time to enhance
the qualities we have, learnt the qualities we lack and forget the qualities that prevents us
from achieving these.

He also discussed about the value system that we are built of. Right from childhood, through
school and college and later at work, there are values that we have gained, lost, honed and
forgotten on the way. It is these individual values that you possess that add value to your
work. Without the value system, we lose our individuality, so we should always strive to
polish and chistel them to create a value add to our selves.
