Hello everyone, my name is Maria Paula Peña, and I’m going to talk about my best

experiences from the last year.

One of the things that I consider as my best experience from 2019 has been to start

the university. It was a really good experience; I was so excited to start and happy because

I’ve finally did something for my future. In the university, I knew new friends like Luisa

and Juliana.

Last year I got a job as a babysitter, it was something new for me, I’d never had

experience with a child, thank god my mom was always here to help me.

My best friend came to visit me, we went to buy notebooks and an umbrella, I took

many photos of her doing weird things, after we went to have lunch in a restaurant called

‘Servipollo’ with some friends, then, we went for an ice cream, and we spend the rest of the

day together, then she returned home.

Another fabulous but, at the same time sad experience was adopting a dog, my dog was

called Canelita, because her hair color was that color, she was very friendly and cheerful,

but one day she got sick and a while after she died. I was really sad, I cried all day, but I

know she’s in heaven or wherever dogs go after die. After this, I adopted a new cat, her

name is Snow, she’s really lovely but I a little shy and nervous, I decided to adopting her

because she was living in the street, that’s broke my heart so I helped her get a home, she

became part of the family, she gets along very well with my other cats.

Last year I went with my mom, my stepfather and my bother to a trip, we went to Santa

Marta! It was incredible, I was really surprised because sea is really beautiful and the

buildings are so tall, sea is very blue but I didn't like to swim in there because the water was
salty and the sun it's so hard. Also we went to Cartagena, in there we went to “Castillo de

San Felipe”, it’s a fortress or something like that, it’s a really beautiful place, we walked for

all the castle and explored the place, I took many photos of me and my family there, was a

good experience.

Last year I decided to start make watercolor art, I bought all necessary materials and

watched a lot of tutorials, I started to paint little things like flowers or food, but after a

while I started to paint more difficult things like faces, I was so proud of myself, art is

something that I really love and last year I started to get advance in it.

Moreover, last year the news came out that My chemical romance, my favorite rock band,

which was separated for 6 years, would return to the stage together that same year, I was

really happy, even if I couldn't go to the concert, I was very happy for them. They were my

inspiration since 2014 and knowing that they would be together again made me very happy.

They were together for a concert in Los Angeles and I watched all concert from a

livestream haha.

Finally, Last year I enrolled in an English course with foreigners, I knew really nice people,

like Zahkiya and Sala from USA, Léa and Lucie from France, Coral from Spain and

Mariana from Italy. They were my teachers for a while, I learned many new things from

they and their different cultures.
