Primary Responsible for: Assisting the Senior Operator in performance of the operation of Power
Purpose Plant and operating auxiliary equipment.

Principal Duties Performing station shift operations including startup and shutdown of equipment.

Responsibilities Maintain shift operating logs and records and performs routine chemical testing.
Performs electrical and mechanical inspections, trouble-shooting, and basic maintenance
tasks.

Reads and records gauges and meters.

Implements safe working habits, identify hazards and take corrective actions as
approved by the Senior Operator or other plant management.

Becomes system expert on assigned systems.

Assists in developing standard procedures for operations and maintenance.

Becomes system expert on assigned systems.

Studies to become qualified as a Senior Operator.

Supports plant operation during startup and initial operations

Adheres to safety and quality standards as applicable to duties and accountabilities.

Minimum Education: High school diploma, or equivalent.

Qualifications
Experience: plus two (2) years experience in a power plant environment.

Preferred Job Thermal Oil Heater experience

Qualifications Diesel Generator Operator experience

Project Instructions Manual - Basic

Multi-tasking Skills - Basic
Problem Solving Skills - Intermediate

Computer Skills - Intermediate

Knowledge of discipline technical principles related to power plants. - Intermediate
