    The successful completion of this School Based Assessment would not have been possible
    without the wholehearted assistance from a number of persons. The researcher would like to
    thank Jehovah God for strength and the courage, relatives for their financial and moral support,
    English A Teacher, Miss Stacy Gill for her continuous guidance. Not forgetting, friends and
    family for their suggestion in making this study a success.
    INTRODUCTION
    Plan of Investigation
    On some occasion I have heard the phrase “Being a single parent is
    not a life full of struggle, but a journey for the strong.” Why? How does
    one person do it all? As a result, I have decided to launch an
    investigation on this topic.
    Firstly, this assessment will benefit me greatly because I will gain
    more knowledge since I have to do a lot of research on this topic.
    Secondly, my researcher skill, analytic skills and comprehension skill
    will greatly improve. I will be pleased to share this information with my
    friends, family and any other persons who have question concerning this
    issue. These skills will help me through my examination and even in
    society and in the future.
    Additionally, I will use every possible source to gather the necessary
    information to complete this assessment successfully.
    However, I will narrow down my information to one news article, one
    documentary video and a picture.
