NILLA BANANAS FOSTER “ FRENCH

TOAST” BAKE

25 min. prep|50 min. total|About 9 servings (3/4 cup each)

INGREDIENTS
70 NILLA wafers
¼ cup walnut PCs
5 eggs
1 ¼ cups milk
2 tsp granulated sugar
½ tsp ground cinnamon
½ tsp ground nutmeg
2 tsp butter
2 tsp brown sugar
½ cup maple syrup
2 bananas

DIRECTIONS
HEAT oven to 350 degrees F
PLACE wafers evenly in a 1 ½ quart casserole dish after you’ve sprayed the bottom with cooking
spray. Then sprinkle with walnuts pieces over wafers.
WHISK eggs, milk, granulated sugar, ground cinnamon and nutmeg until blended.
POUR over wafers and walnut pieces in casserole dish. Use the back of a spoon to gently press wafers
into egg mixture.
BAKE 30 to 35 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean.
MEANWHILE cook butter and brown sugar in a large skillet on medium heat until butter has melted
and mixture is well blended; stirring occasionally. Stir in maple syrup, bring to boil; reduce heat to
low. Slice bananas and add to skillet. Stir evenly to coat banana slices with mixture. Cool and stir 1 to
2 minutes or until heated through.
SERVE “French Toast” topped with the banana mixture and ENJOY!
