Mian goes to her room. She doesn’t need any explanation from her parents. She left her
parents and Thiel puzzled. Mian really needs the attention of her parents; she was envy to the
other family who saw her everywhere that they spent time together. The time of her parents to
them is not enough for the so called family day because even when they are at home, they do
their office works. Thiel and Mian are not the same perspective, Thiel understands her parents
unlike Mian, and Mian badly needs them. Mian called her best friend Tanya to talk to.

Mian: Hello Bestie, are you available today? I want to be out of this house for a while. I want to
enjoy myself.

Tanya: Yes. What’s the matter?

Mian: My parents try to make me understand their situation but I can’t help it.

Tanya: It’s okay Bestie, I understand.

Mian: Can you accompany me wherever I enjoy the place?

Tanya: Of course, we go to mall. Are you in?

near to him.

Tanya: Hi Niko.

Niko: (shy) Hello Tanya. Hello Mian.

Mian: Hi Niko.

Tanya: What a coincidence. I am glad that we see you. You’re welcome to join us. Hehehe.

Mian: Bestie! Shut up!

Tanya: Any way, what are you doing here?

Niko: I bought project of my sister. How about you Tanya and Mian?

Tanya: My Bestie need someone to talk to, are you available?

Mian: This is absurd Bestie.

Tanya: Bestie, calm down. Easy! I will take our order, you might really hungry. Take your time
for a while.

NARRATOR:

In school, the first subject of Mian was English; her teacher is Miss Andie Gomez. She
always comes late because when her father takes her to school she always stands by in the store
near school to wait her friends; Tanya and Avy. One morning, they enter in their classrooms
without any respect for Miss Gomez; they directly go to their assigned seats while Niko glared to
Mian secretly.

Miss Gomez: Why are you always 30 minutes late, Mian, Tanya and Avy? Don’t you know that
our class started at 8 o’clock in the morning? I really need your valid reason or else I will talk to
your parents about your behavior.

Mian: (smiled) My parents always busy Mam, they cannot be here when you call them.

Tanya: Same as Mian, my parents are busy too.

Avy: My grandmother can’t come too. Her knees are weak. You know my parents were in
abroad.

Miss Gomez: Mian, you’re such a smart kid. Please be responsible to your studies. And both of
you Tanya and Avy, don’t waste the opportunity to be educated. After class, come in my office, I
wanna talk to you.

Mian, Tanya and Avy: Ok Mam.

NARRATOR:

After class, Mian, Tanya and Avy follow to Miss Gomez’s room. They have the
conversation about their behavior showed in classroom.

Miss Gomez: I want you to know that I don’t intend to scold you. I know that you understand
the words I wanted to say. Please show respect when you are entering in my class. What if the
situation is reverse? Do you feel the same way? Know your limitation guys; don’t waste your
time spending not important things. Your parents work hard in order to sustain your needs and
wants. You don’t know the sacrifices they suffer to give you a good and prosperous life. You
understand what I wanted to say now? Forever is not like this, you make your own life and
outcomes. Broad your mind in every situation that you have, there’s a reason behind it.

Mian: (crying) I clearly understand it now Mam. All of my life I am blind for the anger in my
heart that my parents is always busy for their work and have no time for me. I rebel without
knowing their sacrifices. And my sister always told me to understand why our parents are always
busy. I ignore her words and yell her. Forgive me Mam for my rude behavior.

Tanya: (crying) Now, I know my parents love me more than they love themselves. Sorry Mam.

Avy: (crying) Sorry too Mam. My grandmother always scolded me about that. We are selfish;
always thinking our self without knowing that our love ones hurt the most.

Miss Gomez: (smiled) I am glad that you understand what I mean. Don’t say sorry to me instead
to your parents. I am thankful that you listen to me. I know that your parents forgive you, they
love so much.
