To create a working installation of Modelsim SE 6.5, the license

of which will be valid for 10 years, make sure to follow the below
installation procedure meticulously!

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Create directory C:\FlexLm if it does not exist yet
2. Copy the program file MentorKG.exe to C:\FlexLm
3. Execute this licence key generator C:\FlexLm\MentorKG.exe
4. Rename the generated file C:\FlexLm\LICENSE.TXT to LICENSE.DAT
5. Start the Modelsim installer Modelsim-win32-6.5-se.exe and
answer No to the question whether a HW security key is attached
6. In the License Wizard that is now automatically started select
the menu option [User Tools] - [Edit Environment Variables],
set variable LM_LICENSE_FILE to C:\FlexLm\License.dat and
select [Update]; repeat this for MGLS_LICENSE_FILE
7. Upon exiting the License Wizard without any more actions,
Modelsim should be fully operational for 10 years
