1. List and describe the limitations to using big data.

There are 4 main limitations to using big data:

- Some big data analysts think that many companies have done some big-data
projects without showing their efforts. They thought that having an enormous amount
of data would improve their organization without the maximum utilization for that
data. A significant amount of big-data projects are not producing any valuable,
actionable results.
- It is hard to use and understand some tools for analyzing big data such as Hadoop,
and it is sometimes better to start with small data than to jump into big data usage
right away for most companies.
- It is also difficult to find enough technical IT specialists with expertise in big data
analysis tools, and many business managers lack the expertise and knowledge to
effectively analyze big data.
- Big data also sometimes fails to take into account the larger societal trends and
technical trends instead focusing too much on hard numbers, which causes its
predictions to be inaccurate and paint a skewed picture of reality.

2. Should all organizations try to analyze big data? Why or why not? What
management, organization, and technology issues should be addressed before a
company decides to work with big data?

The use of big data completely depends on the company and the goals that company has
set for using data. If the company is too small and does not directly have a goal in mind or
not what they are looking for, it can lead to problems and eventually failure of the software.
Bigger companies find a great use for big data, like personalizing each customer's
experience and tailoring products or services to their needs. It is important though, that clear
objectives are needed or else all of the data goes to waste or it becomes too overwhelming
to translate. Furthermore, big data takes a trained understanding to use appropriately and to
like correctly draw conclusions or correlations from properly. The user has to understand
potential biases that may distort the information or draw unnecessary conclusions. Overall,
big data in the right hands can be a huge asset to one’s company, but in the wrong hands
can be detrimental and consume too much time and money.
