I think the greatest contribution of Rizal in the Philippines is the Literature, especially his
literary works. These works greatly influence and encourage us Filipinos to prioritize the
education first in order to be successful in life. The works of Rizal has a lot of emotions
and feelings in it that catches our hearts. He put his life on line doing all these novels
and stuffs during Spanish Colonial Era. The famous novel “Noli Me Tangere” opened the
Filipino’s eyes to the truth that were being mishandled by the friars. Also, his second
novel, El Filibusterismo (The Reign of the Greed), which it depicts the country’s issues
and how the protagonist attempts a reform because the novel also portrays the abuse,
corruption, and discrimination of the Spaniards towards Filipinos, it was also banned in
the country at the time. The two novels of Rizal, now considered as his literary
