Right Hand Independence by Planning

1. PLANNING AS A GROUP: good for beginner practice, fast passage or

accompaniment, and adding more articulation to music
1) Put all the fingers needed to play on the strings before starting
2) Do not spring fingers out after plucking, keep it at the where the end of strokes
are
3) Stretch all fingers out and put all fingers as a group on the rest on every
measure’s fifth beat
4) Produce the sound on treble strings by starting on the flesh (note exactly where
flesh and nail are) and pass through the nail making ADJACENT DIRECTION to
the string. Sound will go very thin if the string is parallelly plucked
5) Opposite for bass strings
6) Metronome at 60 bpm

2. FINGER BY FINGER PLANNING: good for legato playing, slow and lyrical piece, fast
passage (if playable)
1) Put the finger right after the note before it is played
3. STACCATO
1) Play the note and stop the sound right after plucking with the finger used to play
the note. Stop very faster for intensity and relaxing stop for general passage
