Probable way forward

As Albert Einstein said “life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance, you must keep
moving”. And so in my opinion the probable way forward from these extreme situations
could only be moving forward but not taking any huge step at once rather taking small and
safe step and that should not be opening all the borders of state and shops at once, but to
divide them into different zones and open the borders as per the condition of that zone. The
states could open its border only when the epidemic cases have started declining and the
mortality rate have stopped completely. As every single life is important and it’s the duty of
the government to safeguard it.

The GDP growth of USA in the past quarter was -4.2% and it is expected to rise up till -20%
at the end of year. The unemployment rate in Las Vegas has risen up to 34% only in these 2
months of lockdown which is just the double of 2008 crisis. So, the major problem is
economic growth of a country, and it is very well accepted by everyone that our country’s
economy is not growing a such a great speed. It will also face many challenges and some
serious steps needs to be taken in this regard. It will be better if we start the industries and
factories first were the labourers work and not only give them employment but also it will
help in economic growth of our country as its basically depended on this. The government
should also need to look after the families of person who have lost their job and any pension
scheme or any scheme related to transferring of some amount of money should be done for a
limited period of time.

The reports of ICMR suggest that this epidemic is not going to fully eradicate before a year
and half and the cases will keep on coming. So, it’s better to learn to live with corona/ Covid-
19 and maintain social distancing where ever we go. But its better if we keep the good habits
and follow them daily like washing our hands for 20 seconds and avoid going to crowed
places and many such things of self-sanitization

The only good thing happened in Covid-19 was the refinement of environment and making it
pollution free and the healing of our earth. Our environment has improved and cleaned a
great deal and we need to make sure that it remains the same way it is. As it is said that
Environment is no one’s property to destroy, its everyone’s responsibility to protect and we
must follow it. By now we must have realized that this epidemic is just a response of what we
did to our earth and we must not make the same mistake again after opening of lockdown.
The government can take step such as calling its staff on alternate days or only 50% of the
employee should be told to come and this step can also be followed in private sector and
public sector undertakings. We have observed in many countries that the people who are
above the age of 60 are easily been targeted by Covid-19 and even the mortality rate is high
above the age of 60, so the government can make sure that the people who are above this age
are told not to come to office and stay at home and avoid any crowded place or if their work
is so important then they can work from home as much as they can.

As correctly said by Eleanor Roosevelt “If life were predictable, it would cease to be life, and
be without flavour”. so impossible to predict was going to happen at the very next moment
reading this, but the max we can do is planning and find a probable way forward.
