CHAPTER IV

ORGANIZATIONAL AND MANAGEMENT STUDY

The overall implementation plan will be discussed in the organization and

management study.This chapter include a study of needed personnel,basic consideration in

forming the organizational grant chart and project schedule.This chapter helps to determine

the successful of the project study.

Management is a group of people who are responsible and organize the whole

process of the workplace.This is the basis it the proposed business will able to efficiently

utilize its resources and seeing it the business meets its goals and objectives.

A.Form of Business Ownership

A form of business ownership vanes and depends on the nature,size and operation of the

business.The type of ownership of I.N.K Printing and desining shop is partnership.

Partnership is a business owned and operated by two or more persons who combine their

resources,money and property with the intention of dividing the profits among themselves.

The proponents choose partnership for INK Printing and Designing Shop because they

will perform their duties and responsibilities to continually circulating the production at the

proposed business. The general partners is the one who has a responsibities to do some

outside transaction of the business and the one liable for any type of loans that may use in

the business. Limited partners is the one who has a responsibilities to provide investment and

share profit for the proposed business.Industrial partners they are the person who has enough

knowledge and skills in running the business operations.

Table 4.1 Shows the proponents of the I.N.K Printing and Designing Shop.The

general partner will be Joyce Ann Barcelona will assume 40% of business ownership she will

be responsible in the operations of the business.The limited partners are Jay ann Fernandez

and Avegail lalong-isip will assume 15% of business ownership.The Industrial Partners are

Art Gerald Trambulo and Gen Deo Remoto will assume 15% of business eventhough they are

industrial partners who has enough knowledge and skills they decided give shares of

investment on the proposed business.

B. Personnel Requirements

The proposed business will be a great help to the students or other people of

Mamburao.In fact upon of the I.N.K Printing and Designing Shop,it will look for personnel to

perform some task inside the production of the business.It needs several personnel to ensure

the effective flow of the production that would read in the attainment of its goals and

objective of the proposed business.Having the standard qualification and requirements in

hiring and selecting employees is important to choose a good and well-skilled persons to

perform each task.It develop policies and activities to promote the satisfaction of both

individual and also the organizational needs,goals and objectives.The proposed business
become successful depends on the effective blending of money, machines and materials to

achieve the business objectives.

The business use the line and staff type of organization since it is company used type

organization structure. This is the best structure they will fit the overall operation because

there will be direct flow of authorities of the employees. Despite of some advantages of this

type of structure the proponents still choose it because it is shown limited subordinates of the

business.

General Manager must be responsible for planning, directing, and managing the

business. She has the right to make decisions ad to give orders concerning the production,

finance and sales of production. She is also responsible to formulate rules and regulation that

must be follow inside the firm and give sanction to its employee who doesn’t perform their

duties well. The general manager is also has the rights to figure out the gain profits of the

business for each operation and has the rights to budget all the money of the firm. Any find of

transaction will be approved by him.


Assistant Manager is the right hand of the General Manager. He must be responsible

also in running the business. He was the one who manage the business when the general

manager presence is not seen inside the firm. He will also share his idea in attaining the

business objective. He also handles the payroll for the employees and the making of financial

statements and other related activities.

Design Personnel is the one who has a responsibility to layout and sketch to the

computer the graphics and design of the customers to apply for their t-shirts.

Printing Personnel is the who has a responsibility to assist the machineries and apply

those design to the t-shirts that create by the design personnel. Sometimes the customers

didn’t consult to design personnel to make a layout for their t-shirt, because some of them

bring their own layout of the design to be apply in their t-shirts.

General Manager

1. Manage the overall operational, budgetary, and financial responsibilities and

activities of the department.

2. Review performance data that includes financial, sales, and activity reports and spreadsheets,

to monitor and measure departmental productivity, goal achievement, and overall effectiveness.

3. Manage the preparation and maintenance of reports necessary to carry out the functions of

the department. Prepares periodic reports for management, as necessary or requested, to track

strategic goal accomplishment.


4. Lead employees to meet the organization's expectations for productivity, quality, and goal

accomplishment.

5. Provide effective performance feedback through employee recognition, rewards,

and disciplinary action, with the assistance of Human Resources, when necessary.

Maintain employee work schedules including assignments, job rotation, training, vacations and

paid time off, telecommuting, cover for absenteeism, and overtime scheduling.

6. Maintain transparent communication. Appropriately communicate organization information

through department meetings, one-on-one meetings, and appropriate email, IM, and regular

interpersonal communication.

E. Compensation Package

In return for a job well done employees will be given their monthly salary and wages. The

compensation is designed to value the reward employee’s performance, as well as the

acquisition and development of skills and competencies while maintaining pay

competitiveness with the local market.

Table shows the compensation package of the supervisors and employees. The

amount of salary given to each employee is based on their job description. The total

amount of personnel salary for one year operation is P291,600.00. Any late or absence

will be deducted from their monthly salary depending on the reason of doing so. P5

will be deducted for every minute of being late. The daily rate will be deducted upon

any absence. The employee will receive their salary every end of the month but the

employee can have an advance payment of salary when needed.
