Describe a subject you didn’t like before but have an

interest in now.

When I was at school, the subject I hated the most, was geography.
It was so boring.

We had this a totally disengaged teacher who didn’t make the class
interesting at all.

He used to read the book aloud, and we would just copy everything he
said into our books and that was it!

I don’t think we ever looked at a map or any pictures or graphs.

It was the most tedious class ever.

But when I left school everything changed and then when I went to
university.

I had a chance to travel to two or three different countries

and it was only then that I realised I didn’t know much about them.

When I was planning my trips to Spain, Italy, and France, I had to look
on the map to find the capital cities and other famous cities.

And in order to make the most of my trip, I had to read about the
history, the culture, the food, and even some basic language to help me
get by.

It was only then that I realised how geography, history, and culture and
related subjects, are inter-connected.

Ever since, I have been a big fan of geography and it still helps me
today, whenever I travel.
