Cleopatra needle habitat has been strictly preserved and monitored over the

years. It has been on great spot since it covers a unique blend of nature
whereas contributes into great tourism for the country. In addition to its
abundance in wildlife, it is the world’s largest critical habitat. However,
it has been recorded that there are occurrences of kaingin to the said
habitat; caused by non-indigenous people going within the boundaries.
Therefore, measures of support and strategies had been formed by the
communities in order to ensure the safety of the plants and species, for that
they will be free from this life-threatening extinction. If there is no
habitat, there is no wildlife. The horrifying loss of biodiversity is solely
caused by active participation of the extraction and exploitation of natural
resources, including wildlife itself, for economic purposes. By destroying the
animals, the air, and the trees, we are basically destroying ourselves. The
deforestation tragedy that affected some areas of the Philippines has also
been a great concern; at most 50% of the primary forests in the island remain.
However, ongoing studies are being done to explain why forests in the province
continue to gradually decrease.
