Land Development
The Land Development Team provides environmental management
support to our land development Clients in gaining and managing
the environmental approvals required to progress their development
projects. Environmental support ranges from pre-purchase due
diligence, clearing permits, and opportunities and constraints
assessments (GIS), through to project environmental support to
assist projects through the planning process, strategic planning and
environmental impact assessments. We obtain approvals under State
and Federal environmental legislation, in particular the Environmental
Protection Act 1986 (Part IV and Part V) and the Environment
Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999.
Environmental and
Biological Services
The Environmental and Biological Services Team is a diverse group of staff with technical
expertise in botany, zoology, rehabilitation, and GIS. Baseline surveys can be conducted by our
team of specialists to assist clients with the identification and/or monitoring of biological values
on their sites, enabling appropriate management actions to be identified and implemented. An
early understanding of environmental values can provide important information in the design
and implementation of a proposal, and often enable outcomes that are ‘best for project’, while
not compromising biological values. Once implementation is underway, our rehabilitation staff
can assist in remediating the impacts of clearing and other disturbance, and can also assist
with offset packages. The work of the team is underpinned by our GIS staff who can provide
visual representation of data (2D and 3D) and data interpretation and analysis (constraints and
opportunities, including the selection of suitable offset areas) as required.
Resources
The Resources Team provides environmental management
support to the mining, quarrying, oil and gas industries. Our
team has experience in Environmental Impact Assessments
(EIA) and approvals ranging from clearing permits up to
major EIA (State and Federal levels). As well as working
in Part IV and V of the Environmental Protection Act 1986,
we provide expertise in water-related approvals, Mining
Act 1978 approvals and assessments/approvals under
the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation
Act 1999. We provide assistance to companies in the
development of environmental and quarantine/biosecurity
management systems, plans and procedures for the
exploration, construction, operational and closure phases
of resources projects.
Infrastructure
The Infrastructure Team provides environmental management
support to assist the water, port, power, road and construction
industries in gaining and managing the environmental approvals
required to construct, maintain and operate their projects.
The support offered by the environmental team ranges from
environmental management plans, Works Approval and
Licences, through to strategic planning, environmental impact
assessments, construction environmental management, due
diligence reporting and audit. We have experience in obtaining
approvals under State and Federal environmental legislation,
in particular the Environmental Protection Act 1986 (Part IV
and Part V) and the Environment Protection and Biodiversity
Conservation Act 1999.
