Will describe the most apparent unconscious bias that I may possess
and discuss a plan to reduce unconscious bias

Reporting If you’re hiring based on ‘gut feeling,’ you’re likely hiring on the basis
of unconscious bias. The best way to prevent yourself from succumbing to
these unconscious biases is to become aware of them and take action to
prevent them when recruiting, hiring and retaining employees. Doing so will help
your team build a more diverse and inclusive workplace.

Responding unconscious bias is in play in every aspect of the modern workplace


— in recruitment, retention, performance management, promotion, client relations,
and the allocation of work assignments.  Unconscious bias is important in terms
of globalization and success in the global economy, since businesses that
understand the power of diversity will benefit in terms of productivity and
profitability.

Relating Unconscious bias occurs in my workplace people when favor others who


look like them and/or share their values. For example a employee may be drawn to
someone with a similar educational background, from the same area, or who is the
same color or ethnicity as them. ... Another form of unconscious bias is known like
as the halo effect.

Reasoning Here are some factors of the main biases. Like Affinity bias, Halo
effect, Perception bias, Confirmation bias, Group thing.

Reconstructing Here are some strategies you can use to overcome or control
your unconscious biases.
Increase Your Contact With the Relevant Group, Blind Yourself, Structure Your
Decision-Making, Counter the Stereotypes, Be Conscious, Offer Training.
