Dear Mr. Grey,

My proven track record of successfully working on individual buildings and large redevelopment
schemes, makes me an ideal candidate for the Architect opening that you have just advertised on
aecom.jobs. As someone who has gained experience of working on all different stages of a
project, I firmly believe that I can make an immediate and positive impact on your operations.

I am a true professional who can easily work as part of an established team on a wide variety of
schemes. As you can see from my attached CV, I also have excellent high quality drawing and
sketching skills that I can use via both computer programs and by hand. Furthermore, I possess
superb communication skills that allow me to hold effective discussions with clients and builders
alike. My key skills include, but are not limited to;

 Working on the earliest stages of a building project.

 Developing ideas with clients.
 Adapting plans according to budget constraints and changing needs.

I must also mention that I come from an advanced academic and analytical background having
completed a degree in Architecture from the University College London.

Having attained most of the career goals that I set myself, I now want to work for a company like
yours that encourages innovation and rewards hard work. I hope that you will find this cover
letter in combination with the attached CV enticing enough to invite me to an interview.

I look forward to hearing from you in due course regarding the progress of my application.

Yours sincerely,
