Participating in a class meeting using the Microsoft Teams desktop app

1. Download and install the Microsoft Teams desktop app:

a. Click link to download and install the app:
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/microsoft-teams/download-app

b. When prompted to enter credentials, enter student’s school email address and password.

2. To participate in a class meeting:

a. Several minutes prior to the meeting (time provided by your teacher), click on the Teams icon on
your desktop.
b. When your teacher starts the meeting, you will see a dialog box prompting you to join the meeting.
Click on Video or Voice only.

Once you have joined the meeting, you may use the controls near the center of the window to:

• mute/unmute your camera

• mute/unmute your mic
• leave the meeting
