01[21:20] <~ShadowDM> When we last left our heroes, one group had
tracked down one of the kidnappers while another waited with the pop
idol in her hotel suite.
01[21:20] <~ShadowDM> Finding their prey asleep, the hunters took
advantage of the situation to steal his primary weapon, but before
they could return to attack him, Backlash had already begun his
escape by climbing up the stairs to the roof.
01[21:20] <~ShadowDM> As the hours grew late, Monobikei-hime’s
concert grew closer. Unwilling to wait for the rest of the ninja team
to return, she left with her bodyguards for the concert with a weary
Yori, Mai, and their sensei in tow.
01[21:21] <~ShadowDM> Yori! Making any preparations or have anything
to do as you walk through town?
01[21:23] <~ShadowDM> I'll take that as a no?
[21:23] <Tanshin_Yori> mmm... I guess I'll Henge into... someone who
looks like a bodyguard?

imposing man.
01[21:23] <~ShadowDM> The concert arena is slowly filling with people
and a large mob has begun to form at the large front entrance, and
miraculously you get by and into the back alley without being
noticed.
01[21:23] <~ShadowDM> Backstage, all hell has broken loose as
Monobikei-hime is dragged off to a chair to begin having make-up
applied to her already flawless face. After donning an outfit
seemingly drenched in sequence, she spins once, strikes a pose, and
moves out to the stage followed by two people you don’t recognize.
01[21:23] <~ShadowDM> Noticing your gaze, Rokou shrugs and says, "We
got replacement musicians so me and Itami could keep guard with you
guys... since three of you are missing, it seems like it was a good
idea."
01[21:24] <~ShadowDM> Mai nods in agreement, looking out from the
side of the curtain at the filled arena as the audience screams at
Monobikei-hime's appearance.
01[21:24] <~ShadowDM> Awareness check!

lot of people running around, and outside there is a larger grouping
of people than you have ever seen in your young life... but you don't
notice anything out of the ordinary--whatever that is.
01[21:27] <~ShadowDM> Sasori sighs, and outside Monobikei-hime begins
her first song, a perky tune obviously meant to pump up the audience
and get them ready for a good show.
01[21:27] * Tanshin_Yori shrugs and takes up position off-stage,
ready to intervene if necessary.

01[21:29] <~ShadowDM> The crowd seems energized and Itami curses as
his hand shoots out grabbing one of the stage hands. The young man
utters some curses before Itami shoves his hand into his stomach. The
man in his hand explodes with a burst of smoke. "Damnit!"
01[21:29] * ~ShadowDM : -> Itami: "Shadowclones..."
[21:29] <Tanshin_Yori> "... aw, hell."
01[21:30] <~ShadowDM> Mai's hand shoots to her weapon as she moves
behind the background curtain to the other side of the stage to keep
watch on that side.
01[21:30] <~ShadowDM> Awareness check!!!

[21:30] <Orac> Tanshin_Yori rolls 1d20+5 Aware and gets <8 + 5> = 13
01[21:32] <~ShadowDM> A little better, from the corner of your eye
you see several people in the audience pushing their way toward the
stage.
01[21:32] * Tanshin_Yori gets ready to kick their teeth in if they
attempt to climb onstage.
[21:33] <Tanshin_Yori> And by "kick their teeth in" i mean "escort
them from the venue".
01[21:33] <~ShadowDM> You hear the sound of scuffling on the other
side of the stage, but from the clouds of smoke, you can see Mai has
it handled quite well.

01[21:36] <~ShadowDM> The people pushing through the crowd get closer
and suddenly leap onto the stage. Which is very strange given it's 6
feet off the ground.
01[21:37] * Tanshin_Yori attempts to create a wall of sand between
the star and her crazed 'fans'!
01[21:38] <~ShadowDM> There is a huge boo from the audience as the
star is hidden from their gaze and Rokou slaps your shoulder, "Man,
don't mess with the performance, don't you have weapons you can throw
or something?
01[21:38] <~ShadowDM> Itami forms a ball of chakra in his hand and
fires at one of the three, reducing it to smoke as a kunai (you guess
from Mai) flies from the other side of the stage at another.
01[21:39] * Tanshin_Yori removes the sand in a suitably showy fashion.
[21:39] <Tanshin_Yori> "... mmm. priorities."
01[21:39] <~ShadowDM> The crowd cheers, thinking it's all part of the
performance.
01[21:40] * ~ShadowDM : -> Rokou: "My priorities are Hime's
priorities."
01[21:41] * Tanshin_Yori shrugs. "The show won't go on without its
star."
01[21:41] * ~ShadowDM : -> Rokou: "Then figure out a way to please
both objections."

will be right back" and begins to find a way to the place she saw the

around to look up at the roof! "Hey what are they--"

his eyes.
01[00:20] <~ShadowDM> It is rather late, and from the beamlights in
the distance, you might guess that the concert has already started.
[00:22] <Chikamatsu_Tanaka> "Should we see if the others are all
right?" Tanaka asks putting Inu back in his bindings
[00:23] <Nawa_Yasu> Yasu stands up slowly and sheathes his kodachi.
"I think that might be a good idea, especially considering our enemy
escaped."

[00:25] <Nawa_Yasu> Yes.

missing the concert, but eventually you arrive there.
