placedthemin abowl. Hepulledthe eggsout and placed them inabowl.
―Lookcloser,‖hesaid,―andtouchthepotatoes.‖Shedidandnotedthattheyweresoft.
Hethenaskedhertotakeaneggandbreakit.Afterpullingofftheshell,sheobserved thehard-
boiledegg.Finally,heaskedhertosipthecoffee.Itsricharomabroughta smile to herface.
―Father, whatdoesthismean?‖sheasked.
