You are on page 1of 3

As part of our growing Pepper Cloud community, we wanted to brief you with some

guidelines and details which will ease out our working process with you.

From here on, you are expected to take care of the following guidelines:

1) You need to send an acknowledgement mail of each work assignment given to you
with a return turn-around time mentioned (i.e. by what time you'll submit the article back
to us). If we don't receive an acknowledgement mail from your side before the deadline
set for the assignment, and there is a deadline lapse from your end, there will be a 50%
payment cut-down for that particular order. If we do not receive any response from your
side in the next 2 days post the deadline allotted, you will not be eligible for any
payment at all.

2) All Conversations will be in a single mail thread. Please do not send us your articles in
multiple threads. Follow the similar mail thread that is being mentioned in the mail. This
is to be taken care of strictly.

3) If you are given a set word-limit, please adhere to that. If you are told to write a 700-
word article, so we want an article that is 700 words (or more). Not less than 700 words at
any cost, so kindly bear that in mind. We will be paying you for the exact word limit we
set for you (i.e. 700 words only). Any extra words beyond the word limit would be
excluded.

4) Please go throught the below mentioned Best Practices which further guide you as to
how you should go about writing content pieces for us with respect to format and other
qualitative aspects. If we do not receive the article in the format mentioned, there will be a
pay-cut of 25% for the same. Please understand that formatting the article multiple
times, leads to a lot of hassle for us.

5) Please ensure that you complete all your work promptly and stick to deadlines. If there
is an emergency or you are unable to complete your work due to a genuine reason, kindly
inform us as soon as possible. Through call or mail, any would do.

6) We do not promise any fix work frequency as it depends on the volume of work we
are receiving from our clients. Your tenure at Pepper is varied on your availability and
comfort. But, you will only be eligible for a Certificate of Experience and detailed
recommendations in cases of high performances, if you cover a working experience of at
least six months.

Best Practices

As you embark on this professional journey with us, we want to make sure that you get the
best out of it. Writers are one of the most integral aspects at Pepper, and we believe that
with proper mentoring and with time, we will be able to create professionals that stand
out in the pool of people out there.

With this in mind, we believe that every writer should follow some basic yet very
important things so as to ensure the best quality service that they can provide to anyone,
and not only Pepper. We tried to encompass some of them to the best of our knowledge,
and would expand them as we grow bigger together. Following is the list of Do’s and
Don’ts for writers in our Pepper Cloud:

● Something, as basic as the format of the word document goes a long way in
creating an impact. Try to stick to the following format that is generally acceptable
everywhere

FONT: Calibri (Body)

Text size: 12
Main Heading: 16 Font size, Bold & NOT Underlined, Centre Aligning
Sub headings: 12 Font size, Bold
Spacing between lines: 1.15
Do not put multiple gaps between paragraphs. Write in the next line itself.

● The above format is exhaustive. Refrain from doing anything extra. All text should
always be black. Use of any other color is big no-no.
● As a professional writer, plagiarism is something that you should be very particular
about. We, at Pepper makes stringent plagiarism checks yet we would like to
encourage writers in the Pepper Cloud to make sure that they never submit articles
that are plagiarized. One software that we suggest is COPYSCAPE PREMIUM. A little
investment from your side can go a long way in establishing trust between
organizations, including ours and you.
● When assigned articles, please send them all at once unless specified otherwise.
● Run your article through Grammarly, so as to ensure that it is free from small
grammatical errors. Again, this is something that we personally take care of. But it
will help you to establish your credibility as a quality writer.
● To keep the away the monotonous tone, try to mix up the number of words that
you use in a sentence. But always be vary of using too many words in a single
sentence itself.
● Do not add pictures unless specifically asked for
● When asked to add pictures, you should always send them all to us in a zip file as
well (apart from using them in the word document wherever necessary).
● Never insert hyperlinks unless specified otherwise.
