I can already hear the outcry from our readers about this month's feature on
the 50 fastest guitarist: "The guitar is more than playing fast, dude! You gotta
play with feeeeeeling! It´s not how many notes you playing, man, it´s what
you play..."

Yes, yes, we get it. but while it's true that speed isn´t everything, speed is
something. A flurry of notes placed in the right spot can exhilarating, exciting
and quite emotional. don´t believe us? Ask Bach, Charlie Parker, Jimi Hendrix
and the many other greats who have used the arrow in their quiver when the
time was right.

"Fast" is an important part of the musical language, and while some of

guitarist in our feature have been known to abuse the speed limit from time
to time, so be it. They remain important because they show us what is
physically and musically possible, And even if fretting some mind-bogglingly
wild shit at 160 beats per minute isn´t your cup of tea, you have to admit that
it's impressive and weirdly inspirational.

guitarristas mas rapidos. La guitarra es algo más que tocar rápido, amigo Tienes que tocar

Sí, sí, lo entendí. Pero si bien es cierto que la velocidad no lo es todo, la velocidad

es algo. Una ráfaga de notas colocadas en el lugar correcto puede ser: excitante,

"Rápido" es una parte importante del lenguaje musical, y mientras algunos de los
