Dear Sir De Castro,

Due to the passing on a family member of mine, I would like to request your permission to allow
my absence to be excuse from your class today (Sept. 10, 2019). This will give me ample time to
join my family members during this grieving moment and help in preparation for her burial.

I promise to catch up with the rest of the class while I was away as well as finding out what you
taught during this time. I also promise you that I will utilize this time maximally and ensure that
I will resume classes without delay.
