Topic: The response of the Filipinos toward the ongoing news dissemination of COVID19 or
any news update

Being discipline is a must do in our current situation in which there’s ongoing news about
the terrifying virus originated from China, the COVID 19.
We, Filipinos, felt mixed emotions when we discover a new virus in which one infected
person can easily spread the virus to a lot of people if we’re not careful. Being terrified about it
makes the citizen panic and forgets how to discipline their selves. Many well-heeled Filipino
tend to be panic buyers that most of the necessities became sold-out in a short period of time and
others, especially the ones who really in need, didn’t get any or it’s not enough for them to
survive in a month. As a responsible Filipino, we should not be selfish on giving others, who are
in need, some necessities such as alcohol and masks and also, we should not take this as an
advantage to sell these necessities in an overly high price.
Since there’s news that we have a lot of infected cases inside our country, authorities take
an action to prevent it from spreading to other areas. They implement the Enhance Community
Quarantine and a total lockdown in Luzon to identify and monitor the infected people that might
be a cause of the spreading. Staying at home with our family helps our community and the
frontliners to not worsen the situation.
Doing some prevention like wearing a mask, using an alcohol and washing our hands
makes us to be discipline as well as telling the truth to health workers about our condition and
travel histories. Being selfish and telling lies will not help our community, but instead it might be
a cause of depletion of health workers which is our hope to eradicate the virus.
Everyone should help each other and discipline ourselves, if we want to reduce the
infected people in our country and to live in a harmonious community. Our panic mindset is
unavoidable, but we should remind ourselves that it will not save our lives.
