1. Present Simple Tense
Present Simple je vreme koje se upotrebljava da opiše uobičajene radnje, običaje, navike subjekta i izuzetno je učestalo
u engleskom jeziku.
It may not come as a surprise that the professions such as that of a teacher and a nurse are among the most loved
ones. Many people agree that there is something noble about being a teacher. Their main goal is to make a difference
to someone’s life, education. Similarly, nurses look after other people. In addition to new vocabulary, this text provides
you with examples of the use of the present simple tense.
There are positive and negative aspects to using tablets and textbooks. One thing is for sure, modern technologies are
getting upgraded on a daily basis and those modern trends have to be followed. Every school has to decide what is
best for their pupils, tablets or textbooks.

Ono što je najvažnije je da sadašnje trajno vreme opisuje radnju koja se dešava u ovom trenutku, baš sada dok
pričamo, ali da takođe opisuje i neku privremenu radnju, kao i planove vezane za budućnost.

3. Past Simple Tense
Ono što je važno zapamtiti je da se prošlo vreme koristi za radnju koja se završila u određeno vreme u prošlosti, dakle,
tačno se zna kada se radnja završila. Odrednice koje su karakteristične za prošlo vreme su yesterday, last, ago. Pravilni
glagoli u prošlom vremenu dobijaju nastavak -ed ili -d, dok se nepravilni uče napamet.
Nikola Tesla was a great mind who found himself fascinated by the world around him. He contributed to the
development of the alternating current electrical system that is widely used today as many other things. There were
many examples of Past Simple Tense in the text.

kada članovi treba da se upotrebe, a kada ne.

5. Verb Patterns: -ing, to
Posle jedne grupe glagola koristi se gerund, dok se posle druge koristi infinitiv. Najbolji način da se dati glagoli zapamte
jeste da se vežu za određene primere, npr: I like dancing; We can afford to go on holiday etc.
12. In Vogue
The English people like dressing up smartly. There are many trendy and fashionable shops in England. Also, many
examples of verb patterns followed with gerund or the infinitive can be found in the text.

trenutku govora. Kod GOING TO oblika iznosimo predviđanje zasnovano na nekom dokazu.

Brojive imenice su stvari koje možemo da prebrojimo, poput table, apple ili boy. Nebrojive imenice nemaju množinu i
ne mogu tako lako da se prebroje, poput love, rice ili water. Much se koristi uz nebrojive imenice, dok se many koristi
uz brojive. Some se koristi u potvrdnim rečenicama, a može stajati ispred brojivih imenica u množini i ispred nebrojivih
imenica. Any se koristi u upitnim i odričnim rečenicama ispred brojivih imenica u množini i ispred nebrojivih imenica;
takođe, može da se koristi u značenju bilo koji, ikoji.

Postoje pravila kad je poređenje prideva u pitanju. Najvažnije je da se odredi da li je pridev jednosložan ili višesložan i
zatim na osnovu toga dodavati pravilne nastavke.

receive email, read about health and medical issues and get maps and directions, while men use the Internet to check
the weather, get news and, of course, obtain sports-related information. All in all, both men and women are Internet
addicts and cannot live without it.

10. Present Perfect Tense
Najbitnija razlika u upotrebi Present Perfect i Past Simple vremena je u tome da se Present Perfect Tense koristi kada
govorimo o radnjama koje su se dogodile u neodređenom trenutku u prošlosti, dok će se Past Simple upotrebiti kada
imamo vremensku frazu koja nam jasno ukazuje na to kada se nešto odigralo u prošlosti.
Present Perfect is often used when we talk about someone’s experience. We use this tense when we want to find out
about something or someone we don’t know (Sounds interesting, but has he ever worked in the food sales industry?)
etc.

11. Modal Verbs
Najčešći modalni glagoli su will, would, shall, should, can, could, may, might i must. Modalni glagoli iskazuju
sposobnost, dozvolu, želje itd. Većina modalnih glagola ne može da se koristi u svim vremenima i zbog toga mora da se
nađe zamena za određeni modalni glagol (have to, to be able to).
There is a solution to every problem. Before making a decision, children should talk to a vocational counsellor. Their
job is to help kids make a good decision. Children can make the world a better place.

12. Past Continuous Tense
Past Continuous Tense je vreme koje se koristi da opiše radnju koja je trajala neko vreme u prošlosti i završila se, zatim
se koristi kada su dve ili više radnji trajale u isto vreme i za neku radnju koja je bila u toku u prošlosti kad je neka druga
prošla radnja prekinula. Izuzetno se često koristi u engleskom govornom i pisanom jeziku.
In the text we could see all the problems Emma faced while trying to get to a job interview. We all had those bad
moments in our lives. Sometimes it is better to stay in bed. There were many examples of Past Continuous in the text.

13. Passive Voice
U lekciji smo naučili kako se gradi pasiv u engleskom jeziku i kad se upotrebljava. Da bi se napravio pasiv u engleskom,
neophodno je odlično poznavanje svih vremena. Pasiv se naročito upotrebljava da se naglasi radnja, a ne vršilac radnje.
U pasivnim rečenicama ispred imena vršioca radnje koristi se predlog by.

In the text we learnt about the people who invented jeans, tea bags, the sandwich, the telephone, email, zip, dynamite
and the crossword puzzle. Each story was very interesting. There were many examples of passive in the text.

Najvažnije je zapamtiti da se prvi kondicional odnosi na realne situacije, situacije iz realnog života, i da su šanse da se
neki uslov ostvari 50%. Prvi kondicional se gradi po obrascu if + present simple + will. U slučaju da govorimo o naučnim
činjenicama ili drugim izvesnim radnjama, u glavnoj rečenici se može desiti da se javi i Present Simple Tense.
U drugom tipu kondicionalnih rečenica mogućnost ispunjavanja uslova je mala. Veznik if se prevodi kao ako, kad ili da.
Glagol be za sva lica ima oblik were u ovom tipu.
A sedentary lifestyle is definitely killing us all, slowly but surely. We all have to be aware that long sitting and inactive
living is going to shorten our life. There are things that can be done in order to prevent many diseases. We have to quit
bad habits and start living an active, healthy lifestyle.
In the following text, we could see that everybody would do a different thing with so much money; it is their right.
Everything depends on the person. There were many examples of the second conditional.

15. Past Perfect Tense
Past Perfect Tense je vreme koje se koristi za radnju koja se izvršila pre nečega, odnosno pre neke druge radnje u
prošlosti, ili pre nekog konkretnog trenutka u prošlosti. Past Perfect se uvek dešava PRE Past Simple vremena,
odnosno, Past Simple se uvek dešava POSLE Past Perfect vremena.
35. Weddings
The wedding day is the happiest day of every bride and groom. Although weddings include a number of customs, the
most important thing of all is…love! There are many examples of Past Perfect in the text.
