Q2: patient 18 years old come to the clinic with diffuse

facial swelling in the region of upper right lateral incisor,


in addition to elevated tempreture and malase, after
clicical and radiographic examanation we found the lateral
was previously treated with pulpotomy .
The dental history of the affected teeth:
the tooth has been previously treated by partial
endodontic theraby pulpotomy
this partial endodontic therapy was performed as an
emergency procedure for symptomatic or asymptomatic
irreversible pulpitis or iatrogenic root exposure this
procedure may not performed ideally and the
inflammatory reaction continued and cause this swelling
signs and symptoms:
patient complained from rapid onset spontaneous pain
with systemic manifestation,localized vestibular and facial
swellind found .
tests:
on percussion and palpation test: positive
on thermal and electrecal test: negative
x-ray: widening on pdl space plus apical radiolucency
ttt. option :
Removal of the underlying cause, release of pressure
(drainage where possible), and routine root canal
treatment
lead to resolution of most cases of AAA.
