    Actionable Issues re Legal Opinion on Violation of Special Laws

    and Municipal Ordinance for Illegal Gambling Operations

    This pertains to the practice of the Police Offices of filing cases for violation of
    City Ordinance in lieu of violation of PD 1602 despite apprehension involving illegal
    gambling activities such as pusoy, bingo and cara y cruz. In this regard, this office
    sought for Legal Opinion from the Regional Legal Office regarding the Violation of
    Special Laws and City/Municipal Ordinance for Illegal Gambling Operations and is
    now awaiting for their response.
