你带平板电脑还是手机？(nǐ dài píngbǎn diànnǎo háishì shǒujī) = Are you taking a tablet computer
or phone?

还是 and 或者

你喝茶还是咖啡？ (nǐ hēchá háishì kāfēi) = Would you like to drink tea or coffee?

茶或者咖啡都可以 (chá huòzhě kāfēi dōu kěyǐ)= Tea or coffee both are both good

我们星期三还是星期五去看电影？ (wǒmen xīngqīsǎn háishì xīngqīwǔ qù kàn diànyǐng) = Shall we

watch a movie on Wednesday or Friday?

星期三或者星期五我都没有时间 (xīngqīsān huòzhě xīngqīwǔ wǒ dōu méiyǒu shíjiān) = I'm not

free either on Wednesday or Friday

开车还是乘飞机回家方便？(kāichē háishì chéng fēijī huījiā fāngbiàn) = Which one is convenient, driving
home or flying?

开车或者乘飞机都很方便 (kāichē huòzhě chéng fēijī dōu hěn fāngbiàn) = Driving or flying are both
very convenient.

我叫你 Miss Mary 还是 Auntie Mary？(wǒ jiào nǐ Miss Mary háishì Auntie Marie?) = Do I call you Miss
Mary or Auntie Mary?

叫我 Miss Mary 或者 Auntie Mary 都可以，随便 (jiào wǒ Miss Mary huòzhě Auntie Marie dōu
kěyǐ, suíbiàn) = Miss Mary or Auntie Mary are both fine. Whatever you like.

哥哥习惯用手机还是电脑上网? (gēge xíguàn yòng shǒujī háishì diànnǎo shàngwǎng) = Is your brother used
to using the internet on his cellphone or PC?

哥哥用手机或者电脑上网都很熟练 (gēge yòng shǒujī huòzhě diànnǎo shàngwǎng dōu hěn shúliàn)
= Older brother is skillful at both, surfing online on his phone and PC

买车分期付款还是一次付款划算？ (mǎichē fēnqī fùkuǎn háishì yícì fùkuǎn huásuàn) = Which one is more
worthy when buying a car, paying in installments or all at once.

分期付款或者一次付款这部车都不划算 (fēnqī fùkuǎn huòzhě yícì fùkuǎn zhè bùchē dōu bù

huásuàn)= Both installment and one time payment is nor worthy for this car.

今天你打算去健身房还是在家运动？(jīntiān nǐ dǎsuàn qù jiànshēnfáng háishì zài jiā yùndòng) = Do you

plan to work out in gym or at home?

在家或者在健身房运动空气都不太好 (zài jiā huòzhě zài jiànshēnfáng yùndòng kōngqì dōu bú tài
hǎo) = Working out at home or in a gym does not allow fresh air.
奶奶病了，爸爸还是叔叔去照顾她？(nǎinai bìng le, bàba háishì shūshu qù zhàogu tā) = Grandma is sick,
should dad or uncle take care of her?

爸爸或者叔叔都不能请假，姑姑去照顾她 (bàba huòzhě shūshu dōu bùnéng qǐngjià, gūgu qù

zhàogu tā) = Neither Dad nor uncle could take leave, so Auntie went to take care of her.

对话 A: 今年你有什么目标吗？

(jīnnián nǐ yǒu shénme mùbiāo ma)

Do you have any goals this year?

B：我想多运动，吃的更健康。

(wǒ xiǎng duō yùndòng, chīde gèng jiànkāng)

I want to exercise more, eat more healthy.

A：你打算去健身房上课还是自己运动？

(nǐdǎsuàn qù jiànshēnfáng shàngkè háishì zìjǐ yùndòng )

Do you plan to go to the gym take class or exercise by yourself?

B：我打算去健身房上课，瑜伽或者 Zumba 课。

(wǒdǎsuàn qù jiànshēnfáng shàngkè, yújiā huòzhě Zumba kè )

I plan to go to the gym take class, yoga or Zumba class.

A：你自己去还是有朋友一起上课？

(nǐ zìjǐ qù háishì yǒu péngyǒu yìqǐ shàngkè)

You going by yourself or do you have a friend to go together to class?

B: 还没有找到朋友。你想一起去上课吗？

(hái méiyǒu zhǎodào péngyǒu. nǐ xiǎng yìqǐ qù shàngkè ma)

I haven't found a friend yet. You want to go together go to class?

A: 我周二或者周四晚上都可以去上课

(wǒzhōu èr huòzhě zhōu sì wǎnshàng dōu kěyǐ qù shàngkè)

I can go Tuesday or Thursday night to class.

B: 太好了。你晚饭平常在家还是出去吃？吃什么？

(tài hǎole. nǐ wǎnfàn píngcháng zài jiā háishì chūqù chī? chī shénme?)

Great, for dinner do you regularly eat at home or eat out? What do you eat?
 A: 我吃米饭或者面条，还有很多蔬菜，鱼或者鸡肉

(wǒ chī mǐfàn huòzhě miàntiáo, háiyǒu hěnduō shūcài, yú huòzhě jīròu)

I eat rice or noodles, also have lots of vegetables , fish or chicken

B: 是啊，在家或者出去吃不重要，重要的是吃什么

(shì ā, zài jiā huòzhě chūqù chī bú zhòngyào, zhòngyào de shì chī shénme)

Right, eating at home or out is not important, what's important is what you eat.

A: 可是出去吃我容易吃很多甜点或者饮料。

(kěshì chūqù chī wǒ róngyì chī hěnduō tiándiǎn huòzhě yǐnliào)

But going out to eat its easy to eat a lot of desserts or drinks

B: 我们一起去运动吧，然后吃 frozen yogurt 或者喝 smoothie.

(wǒmen yìqǐ qù yùndǒng bā, ránhòu chī frozen yogurt huòzhě hē smoothie)

Let's go exercise together, afterwards eat frozen yogurt or drink smoothie.

16. 饮料 (yǐnliào) = drink; beverage

17. 然后 (ránhòu) = afterwards, after that
