RIDA qLine®autoBlot/RIDA qLine® Soft - Quick start guide

1. The RIDA qLine Soft is used to generate worklists with requests for every

patient. Double click on the following icon to start the software.

2. After initiating of the device you are automatically


located in the request menu. Otherwise click on the
“Requests” button in the upper task bar.

To generate requests for each patient, click on the “New”


button and the following window will appear:

To keep this window open when generating requests, set the


check mark at “keep input screen open” and the window will
not disappear after clicking “OK”.

In the field “Lab ID” the patient ID is required and should be encoded on the barcode of the
corresponding samples. The drop down menu in the field “Test” below allows the user to choose
the panel, which should be examined. If necessary, you can add a “sender”.

In the lower part of the window, you can put in the personal data of the patient. When finished,
you have to choose the “OK” button and the data will appear in the background list. When the last
patient is registered, click the “Cancel” button and the request window will disappear.

If something went wrong or is missing, the user can double click on the corresponding patient, and
the request window appears again. The patient data then can be edited as shown above.

3. To create a worklist, please press the “Create
worklist” button.

You have the possibility to name the worklist. Please


consider that the name of the worklist cannot exceed
more than 5 digits or letters. Afterwards choose
“Ok” and the screen will skip to the worklist window.

The worklist is now created and on the left side, patient ID`s
are visible while positions of panels for each patient are
shown at the right side.

Now the worklist can be requested from the RIDA qLine®


autoBlot. If a patient is missing or excessive, it is possible to
go back to the single requests by clicking the “Delete”
button.

4. Turn on the power source and start the device (the


device can also be switched on already)

The device will check all components. If the check was


successful press the “START” button and the screen
will switch automatically to the start screen.

Select the “Back” button in the upper right corner. The
following screen will appear:

5. Choose the “Worklists” button and the following


possibilities will appear:

Choose “Start worklist” and go on.

6. If the device is connected to the network the button


“Carousel -> L.I.S” is highlighted, if the connection is
inactive (detailed information on last page) the button is
faded out.

Place the samples in the sample carousel and choose


the ”Carousel -> L.I.S” button. Ensure correct
arrangement of barcodes. All barcodes must be placed
vertically and the probes have to be aligned to the
direction of the barcode reader.

7. Close the lid and press the “SCAN CAROUSEL” button
and all 36 positions are scanned. Do not use barcodes
twice. If barcodes are present more than once, an error
message occurs and you have to remove barcodes which
are present more than once. Press “Ok” to go on.

Scanning of samples begins at position 1 in the sample


carousel and barcodes are allocated in this order. If
barcodes are missing or scanning of barcodes was not
successful, you can add missing barcodes. Therefore
press the ”+” button (“Manually” specify sample”).

You are able to choose the position of the missing


barcode and the name of the missing sample ID.

8. If all barcodes/patient ID`s are present please press


“request worklist”. The following window appears:

You have to confirm this window with “Ok”, to start the


worklist.

9. In the first step, reagents are loaded for the assay.
Required volumes are shown on the right side. If wash
buffer and reagents have been loaded in a sufficient
volume, click the arrow button pointing to the right.

Required panels for the worklist are shown and have


to be loaded to the strip holder in the order shown in the
window on the left.

Before starting the assay, you are prompted to check all


reagents and consumables. To start the assay, all items
must be confirmed.

When presence of all reagents is confirmed, the right


arrow occurs and by clicking the button the assay is
started.

10. All steps performed are shown in the assay run log
window. Open the lid to pause the assay. To continue
the assay close the lid. You are also able to stop the
assay at any point of time. To do so, click the abort button.
The device will stop at the next possible point of time.

To abort the assay, you have to confirm the action.

Afterwards a notice occurs, and via clicking on the “Back


to menu” button, you are directed back to the Worklist
menu.

11. After scanning in the RIDA qLine® autoBlot, the


image is automatically sent to the RIDA qLine®
Soft to calculate the results. Right-click the
results to print or save.

RLink autoBlot

The RLink autoBlot Software is an interface for information/data exchange between the RIDA
qLine®autoBlot device and the RIDA qLine® Soft analysis Software.

To ensure a stable connection, the device and the PC must be connected


to the same network and the the RLink autoBlot Software needs to be
active. The RLink autoBlot Software should start automatically during the
PC startup. Whenever the software icon appears in the Microsoft taskbar,
the software is active. Double-click to open.

If the device is started before the software runs, the connection will be established automatically.

If the software started before the device, the connection must be set manually in the RLink autoBlot
Software.
