1. Before reading Look at the list of adjectives that describe someone's personality.

With a partner, write a sentence for each adjective that shows what it means.

A cheerful person is a happy person - someone's who is usually in a good mood

The boy is shy with the girls - A person who is fearful

The teacher is short-tempered when he has problems - Character of a person caused by bad
mood

He was a moody man with a lot of character - Who has alternate mood swings and impulsive
reactions

He is a sarcastic person - Who employs or has a tendency to use sarcasm.

Keep calm, it's not good to get overwhelmed - Tranquility, absence of agitation and nerves in
the way of acting.

He is a sensitive person - Who is capable of perceiving sensations through the senses, or of


feeling morally

The boy in class is very talkative - That talks a lot
