Chem-4430: Revised Examination Arrangement 21-04-2020

In view of the COVID-19 pandemic and the complete conversion of the in-classroom teaching to
the ZOOM-lecturing this semester, I like to revise the originally planned Examinations for
Chem-4430 as follows:
(1) There will be NO Mid-Term Examination this semester. The course grade will be determined
by the end-of-semester Final Evaluation.

(2) The Final Evaluation consists of two parts. Part-1 is a close-book Exam for 2-hours. Part-2 is
a written Term-paper. Each part will contribute 50% to your course-grade.

(3) Part-1, the close-book Examination, will be conducted from 12:00 noon to 2:00 pm on Thu. 21
May 2020 under the monitoring of your ZOOM-camera (See the following two pages for more detail
instruction).

(4) Part-2, the written Term-paper, is due to be submitted to CANVAS (in Assignment section) by
7:00 pm, Sun. 31 May 2020 (See the following two pages for more detail instruction).
