IV. CREDIT UNITS: 4

V. COURSE DESCRIPTION:

This course main concern is to describe the architecture, components, and operation of routers, and explains the principles of routing and
routing protocols. Students analyze, configure, verify, and troubleshoot the primary routing protocols RIPv2,SSH, DHCP, ACL, Switch port
Security and Device Management. Recognize and correct common routing issues and problems. Model and analyze routing processes.

VI. CORE VALUES

1. Develop cooperative learning; sharing and integration of ideas among others.
2. Introduce you to fundamental networking concepts and technologies.
3. Observe and developing the skills necessary to plan and implement small networks supporting a range of applications.

VII. COURSE OBJECTIVES:

1. Explain network and explain what makes it in society.

2. Discuss the part of routers.
3. Describe the routing concept of the networking.
4. Gain a through understanding of static routing and dynamic Routing.
5. Familiarize and explain the different parts of the switch and their configuration.
6. Describe the Vlan how it works.
7. Describe how ACL provide security in networking
8. Describe how to configure DHCP.
