ABSTRACT

Determination of the concentration field studies on final project is expected to facilitate students in
determining the eventual tasks in accordance with the pattern of the value of the courses taken.
The number of late tasks to make students feel confused determine final project theme. So many
students determine areas of concentration outside the project was to study the courses they take. If
students choose the appropriate final concentration field courses they take, then the student will be
able to quickly complete tasks without having to learn the method eventually advance. Therefore
we need a media that can assist students in determining the eventual tasks in accordance with the
pattern of the value of the courses taken. The method used is the method of Learning Vector
Quantization is the method of neural networks that learn the patterns of value and automatically
learn to classify input vectors. The classes were obtained as a result of the competitive layer is
dependent on the distance between the input vector. If the two input vectors approximately equal,
then the competitive layer will put both the input vectors into the same class.
