Abstract

In this assignment of the final week, I have chosen “Human trafficking”, to talk about a

controversial issue. I have prepared this speech in such a way that my audience will be accepting

my perspective on my controversial topic. I have tried my best to persuade my listeners or my

audience. The speech is around of 6-7 minutes. Here, I have talked against the human trafficking

and all I have talked about is to end up the trafficking.

Before knowing what human trafficking is, we must be well known about what trafficking is.

Trafficking is social major problem in the life of a human being of our time. There are many

violations of the human rights in this world and human trafficking belongs to it. Human

trafficking is a worldwide problem that has been affecting the lives of millions of people living

from almost every country of this world and which deprives them of their human self-respect.

The victims of human trafficking are the child, teenagers, men, women, immigrants and many

others. Human trafficking may happen at our own home, our college/schools, in our office, in

supermarkets, etc. None of the place and the person can be excused from being a victim. Human

trafficking affects the country or a nation in a political, economic transition or post-conflict

stress.

In human trafficking, the trafficker takes away all the happiness, dreams or we can say all the

basic human rights of the victim upon their freedom, their control over their body and mind and

their future. Women and children are forced to do labor. Here, victims are given the false hope

by the traffickers before taking them away but when they get success in taking the victim away

they force them into labor or they are forced to work under the merciless conditions[ CITATION

Way18 \l 1033 ].

Sometimes human trafficking is planned by the own family members too. The family members

who are in debt sell their child in order to return the debt they owe to the debtors. Many children

are sold by their parents who must leave their study behind and work for the rich people or who

must give the sexual pleasure to the rich people for their school fees which especially occurs in

the community of Dalit’s that of Inida [ CITATION Hum16 \l 1033 ].

This issue of human trafficking has increased the level of children molestation and abuse. Some

traffickers molest the children and especially small girls because they think they will not be

affected by the sexually transmitted infections. Because of such molestation some children’s

reproductive systems get damaged and they can never be a parent in their future while some

children die because of such abuse. Here, the victims, especially girls, women and children suffer

a lot from both the mental as well as physical health[ CITATION Hum18 \l 1033 ].

Government must educate the women and the young children who can be the victims of

trafficking. They must spread the awareness about trafficking, and organize more efficient

programs in order to help the victims of trafficking get recovered[ CITATION Way18 \l 1033 ].

Conclusion

Human trafficking is also known as the second most profitable crime. Before the victim becomes

our own, we must take a stand and an action against it. The government must have the strict rules

against the human traffickers, there must be the strict borders as well as wherever prostitution is

legal, it should be banned. In order to fight with the human trafficking, international cooperation

is inadequate whereas the protection for the victims is not only enough.
