‘We perceive the world through the traces of experience, we pave this perception with the echoes of
our actions, we exist to remember, we remember to progress.’

Tracing my echo as a concept attempts to reassess the sequence and correlation between the past,
present and future, inviting artists and viewers to create new paths in a journey from the essence of
cosmic existence to the individual intervention within our intimate daily environment.

In the endeavour to trace a course to its origins, since it is unique in time, a new parallel path is
created. 20 artists explore this duality by forming a multidisciplinary map swinging from what was
to all possible outcomes, stretching within time and space, while they examine the paradox of the
singularity of repetition and the perpetuality of the singular.

The exhibition presents works that delve in the science and our knowledge of origin, representing
myths and historical facts in a new conceptual framework and examining the fluctuation of the
imaginary and real. A multifaceted approach to the title includes posing existential questions of
belonging and the contemporary identity, superimposing the past to the present through social
commentary, emotional exploration and provoking the norm.

The artists become observers and explorers of the natural and the artificial questioning spatial
recognition, immersed in the unconscious memory and confronting the marks we leave behind as a
civilisation.

A time capsule that captures the trajectory of tracing, the book, enhances the notion of the
exhibition space by utilising the familiar functionality of the object through a new prism of identity.

«Αντιλαμβανόμαςτε τον κόςμο μζςα από τα ίχνθ τθσ εμπειρίασ, χτίηουμε αυτι τθν αντίλθψθ με τθν
θχϊ των ενεργειϊν μασ, υπάρχουμε για να κυμόμαςτε , κυμόμαςτε για να εξελιςςόμαςτε.

Ιχνθλατϊντασ τθν θχϊ μου, ωσ ιδζα, επιχειρεί να επανεξετάςει τθν αλλθλουχία και το ςυςχετιςμό
μεταξφ του παρελκόντοσ, του παρόντοσ και του μζλλοντοσ, καλϊντασ τουσ καλλιτζχνεσ και τουσ
κεατζσ να δθμιουργιςουν νζα μονοπάτια, ςε μια αναηιτθςθ με αφετθρία τθν ουςία τθσ φπαρξθσ
ςυμπαντικά εωσ και τθν ατομικι παρζμβαςθ ςτο οικείο κακθμερινό περιβάλλον.

Στθν προςπάκεια ανίχνευςθσ τθσ αφετθρίασ μιασ πορείασ, δεδομζνου ότι είναι μοναδικι ςτο
χρόνο, μια νζα παράλλθλθ πορεία δθμιουργείται. 20 καλλιτζχνεσ διερευνοφν αυτι τθ δυαδικότθτα
ςχθματίηοντασ ζναν πολυμορφικό χάρτθ, που αιωρείται ανάμεςα ςτο προχπάρχων και όλα τα
πικανά αποτελζςματα και εκτείνεται μζςα ςτο χρόνο και ςτο χϊρο, κακϊσ εξετάηουν το παράδοξο
τθσ μοναδικότθτασ τθσ επανάλθψθσ και τθσ διαιϊνιςθσ του μοναδικοφ.

Η ζκκεςθ παρουςιάηει ζργα που αναδιφοφν τθν επιςτιμθ και τθ γνϊςθ τθσ καταγωγισ μασ,
αναπαριςτϊντασ μφκουσ και ιςτορικά γεγονότα ςε νζο νοθματικό πλαίςιο, και εξετάηουν τθν
διακφμανςθ από το φανταςτικό ςτο πραγματικό. Πολυςχιδισ προςζγγιςθ του τίτλου περιλαμβάνει
υπαρξιακά ερωτιματα του “ανικω” και τθs ςφγχρονθs ταυτότθταs, κζτοντασ επί τινόσ το παρελκόν
ςτο παρόν μζςα από κοινωνικό ςχολιαςμό, ςυναιςκθματικι ανθςυχία και προκαλϊντασ τον
κανόνα.

Οι καλλιτζχνεσ γίνονται παρατθρθτζσ και εξερευνθτζσ του φυςικοφ και του τεχνθτοφ, προβάλλοντασ
ερωτιματα ςυςχετιηόμενα με τθν αντίλθψθ του χϊρου, βυκιηόμενοι ςτο αςυνείδθτο τθσ μνιμθσ
και αντιμετωπίηοντασ τα ςθμάδια που αφινουμε πίςω μασ ωσ πολιτιςμόσ.

Μια κάψουλα του χρόνου που καταγράφει τθν διαδρομι τθσ ιχνθλαςίασ, το βιβλίο, παράλλθλα
διευρφνει τθν αντίλθψθ του εκκεςιακοφ χϊρου, χρθςιμοποιϊντασ τθν κακθμερινι λειτουργικότθτα
του μζςα από ζνα νζο ταυτοτικό πρίςμα.
