AMANCIO ORTEGA

Amancio Ortega is a famous Spanish


businessman and the owner of one
of the most principal enterprise in
Spain and in the world (Inditex). This
enterprise is the owner of the clothing
shops Zara , Pull and Bear, Bershka,
Stradivarius, Massimo Dutti, OYSHO and
Uterqüe. As well as the owner of this shops he is one of the five
richest people in the world coming to overcome Bill Gates being
the richest person in the world twice. He was born in March of
1936 in Valladolid (Spain). When he was fourteen he started
working as a worker in two well-know shops in A Coruña. In 1963
he created his first company called GOA, S.A dedicated to make
bath robes. After his success in GOA he opened the first Zara
shop in the same city that he used to work and in 1985 he
created `Inditex´. Nowadays his patrimony is valued in 72.700
million euros.
He has also participated in other sectors with his enterprise like
the real-state sector, the financial sector and cars.

In 2001 he created the Amancio Ortega,s Foundation. This


foundation is aimed to social assistance and education. He also
donated more than 357 million euros to different organizations,
hospitals and the development of the cure for cancer. Ortega
also helps to the students giving to them the opportunity to
study 5th year in United States or Canada. In 2016/17 500 people
could study in Canada and United States because of him. And
now I´ll show you the different shops he has created. Nowadays
he doesn´t have any future ideas he only wants enjoy the time
with his wife, his sons and daugthers and grandsons.
