Instructions: Write four (4) values that you have learned during your Ballroom Dance practice sessions.
Explain each value in (5) five sentences only.

1. Patience – Practicing a dance is not easy for anyone especially that most people are not comfortable

in that forte. Thus, learning dances is difficult; especially that it is a ballroom dance that tends to project

fast movements. I have experienced that in order for someone to be actually good at this dance is you

have to be patient and learn the dance slowly but surely. You must also be mindful that just like you;

your partner is having a tough time too. That is why you must be patient and understanding towards

them.

2. Diligence – Practice is a vital step in mastering a given task especially dances. When we were learning

about the ballroom dance steps, it is very complex for us first timers, especially the right timing and

combination of steps. Added to this is we have to match precisely with our partners or both of us will

butt heads or step on each other’s foot. This is why we need to be diligent on actually mastering the

steps and rhyming with the lively music. Practice with diligence creates a great performance in the end.

3. Creativity – After learning each steps and executing them nearly perfect the next step to have a

meaningful presentation is actually to create a routine. A routine that shows the person’s versatility on

their learned steps but also display the creativity of the group. I learned this, after all the dance

performance we did during this subject. We must not be limited to what we only know. We also have to

insert each of our creative thinking into making the performance personal and beautiful at the same

time.

4. Cooperation – Because of our Ballroom Dance practice sessions, I believe that each of our classmates

learned how to be cooperative with each other. Despite the differences on each other’s capabilities and

characteristics, they have learned to adjust to it. Some members of the group assigned does not

originally come from the same block, that is why at first it is hard to work with them because of shyness.
However, eventually through countless meetings and several practices, everyone became

accommodated. Everyone started to open up more and actually enjoy each other’s company while being

cooperative.
