relations of a society or community, etc.

- It is also the process through which innovations are introduced into an organization or social
group
-  Things that are spread through diffusion include ideas, values, concepts, knowledge, practices,
behaviors, materials, and symbols.

There are three different ways how innovation is accepted in a society.

1. Optional: Every person has the option/right to accept or reject an innovation

2. Collective: The whole society collectively accepts or rejects an innovation
3. Authority: Decision makers such as, the government, decide for the society

MECHANISM FOR DIFFUSION OF INNOVATION

oppose or ignore the concept
2. PERSUASION: person forms a favorable or unfavorable attitude toward the innovation
3. DECISION: After they use the innovation they decide whether to accept or reject it
4. IMPLEMENTATION: person puts the innovation into use
5. CONFIRMATION: people start depending on that innovation and it is confirmed that the
innovation has been diffused in the society

Barriers:
