Lesson
Opening: Blank schedule sheet is put up on the board, greet the class and have them begin work once they have settled
down and finished most of their breakfast. (10-15 Minutes) Students punch in on the blackboard using ClassDojo.
(Light music is played while students eat)
I Do: Write the day’s activity on the white board while students eat and complete their work.
I also introduce the students with stating things about them and their neighborhoods during ROLE CALL.
(Example-) “Fighting out of Dyker Heights, Brooklyn New York…..Shannon Hart”
We Do.;
-Complete our daily schedule, discuss the weather and assist our peers with the completion of their work if needed.
Students should complete this independently as possible.
-Discussion on what we had for dinner the night before. (Class goes around asking each other what they ate.)
-Discussion and sharing are allowed during this lesson. Students can and should share what they did yesterday with
classmates in a classroom volume voice that does not disturb others from working.
-FOOD FOR THOUGHT- After their Schedules and weather sheets are completed students will ask each other about what
they had for dinner last night.
(“Anthony what did you have for dinner last night?”) (“Spaghetti with meatballs.”)
Selected student then asks the next student or staff member about what they have for dinner last night.
