“SME RENEWALS CAMPAIGN”
FROM 20TH DEC 2019 TO 29th FEB. 2020

The challenge of controlling NPA’s is an ongoing process but the technical NPA’s are
controllable and needs a focused approach day in and day out. The accounts
becoming NPA on account of Non-Renewal for more than 180 days amounts to
Rs.249.42 Cr and 16780 accounts as on 06.12.2019 as per NPA Dashboard. On
analysing the data for pending working capital renewals of all Circles, it is observed
that there are 40696 accounts and limits amounting to Rs.82,310.00 Cr pending for
renewal as on 30th Nov. 2019 . Further out of 40696 accounts 25383 accounts for
limits more than Rs.50.00 Lacs amounting to Rs.76,974.00 Cr are pending for renewal.
The Circle wise position is placed at Annexure-I.

2. In order to give thrust to renewal exercise, a campaign is launched w.e.f.


20.12.2019 to 29.02.2020 to ensure that there are no technical NPA’s on account of
Non-Renewal. Further, Circles are advised to familiarize the branch functionaries to
utilize the services of Contactless Lending Platform (CLP) i.e. GST, Income Tax and
CIC verification to its fullest, all renewals more than Rs.50.00 Lac and upto Rs.5.00 Cr
which have “In-Principle “approval will also be part of the campaign.

3. In order to complete the renewal exercise well in time, we expect that this campaign
will help to complete 100% renewals by 31st January 2020 (limits above Rs.50.00
Lacs). The details of the Campaign along with the proposed rewards and recognitions
are furnished in Annexures-II, III, IV.
4. Please bring the contents of this circular to all the branches / offices under your
control.

Details of the Campaign

Name SME Renewals


Period 20th December 2019 to 29th February 2020
Target  To ensure completion of Working Capital Renewals of borrowal
accounts for the financial year 2019-20 by 100% of all eligible
case and avoid slippage of accounts to NPA on account of
Technical NPA
 To cover all renewals upto Rs.5.00 Cr having “In-principle”
approval eligibility parameters, which will give a boost to utilising
CLP(Contactless Lending Platform)
Campaign  Only Limits due for renewal in Financial Year 2019-20 and
Features / renewal proposal completed upto 29.02.20 will be considered
Criteria for achievement.
 Controllers to ensure & verify that the updation of renewal date
in CBS is done after completing the sanction.

Campaign  100% Renewals of all eligible accounts above Rs.50.00


Target Lacs to be completed by 29th February 2020
Rewards &  Role-wise targets for various categories of role holders is placed
Recognition at Annexure-II.
 Rewards & Recognition proposed for various categories of
winners is placed at Annexure-III.
Other  Progress under the campaign will be tracked through Credit
Features Performance & Monitoring department site and Contactless
Lending Platform.
 Final results of the campaign will be published, based on
verification of Renewals pending with each RMME.
