When replacing valves on a cylinder cover thal is mounted on the engine, recondition the valve bores/seating inthe samo way as escrivad here, but without lsmounting the studs. 9. Lubricate the threads with ‘Never Seize’ or Molybdenum Disulphide (MoS;) and mount the valve studs. Provide the cooling water connecting pines with new O-rings ‘and lubricate them with (grease oF soft soap, Mount @ new ‘Klinger’ seating ring in the groove of the flange of the intermediate Pipe. Mount al eight nuts onthe studs and serew them down to the cylinder cover Position the cylinder cover tightening tool over the cylinder cover. Pull down the spacer ringe and hydraulic Jacks of the tightening tool and screw the Jacks on tothe studs. For operation of hydraull jacks, see Proce- ure 913-4 Connect the hydraulic hoses to the jacks ‘and raise the pressure to the level stated in Data. Tighten the nuts with a tommy bar.
